Your Membership

One of the main benefits of being part of the club is getting to know other parents with multiples, supporting each other, sharing experiences and developing friendships. We all have different parenting journeys but, as parents of multiples, we go through many of the same things.

Parenting multiples has some unique challenges from getting through a high risk pregnancy to surviving the first few weeks at home with newborn babies to dealing with toddler multiples destroying your house and from multiples starting school to parenting two teenagers of the same age. Other club members can understand, empathise and suggest tips and tricks that they've come up with to get through a particular age or stage.

Get the most out your membership by getting involved with the club:

  • Join our Facebook Group and share your experiences with others.

  • Come to an event and get to know other members with multiples of similar ages.

  • Write an article for our Newsletter.

  • Attend the Multiples NZ National Conference which is held annually over a weekend (usually at the start of October). Conference is a lot of fun and a good opportunity to meet other multiple parents from around New Zealand.

  • Let us know if you have any skills that may help us to help others eg specific skill sets/knowledge about multiples, fundraising, grant writing skills, marketing, event planning, finance etc.

  • Attend a committee meeting or join the committee - all members are welcome to attend committee meetings so come along and see what we do. Being part of the committee is a great way to develop lasting friendships with other parents who get what you're going through. Email Liz for more information.

Events

The easiest way to meet other club members is to come to club events. We host a variety of club events for families and parents and upcoming events are listed on our News and Events page.

If you have an idea for an event that you'd like to organise for the club or an event that you'd like us to organise please email the president

If you are shy or nervous about coming to a club event get in touch with us first and we can meet you in advance so you will know someone at the event.

Let us know when your babies are born

Either email our new and expectant parent coordinator, or complete the following form when your babies arrive. Make sure you notify us within 5 weeks of your babies' birth so we can order your free jumbo box of newborn nappies from Huggies! We also have a small welcome pack, for our new parents.

We can provide you with support after your babies are born. Come along to one of our Expectant and New Parents' Morning Teas and meet others in a similar situation of, if you're not up to getting out and about yet, we can pop by and visit you, either at home or in the hospital. We are available to answer any questions you have by phone, text or email. Our Facebook Group has local people with a wealth of experience in all sorts of areas.  Don't worry about coming to club events on your own, there are always extra hands to help out with your babies.
